Emotional Intelligence for Career Growth : Why EQ Matters More than IQ?

The difference between a performer and a star performer lies in their emotional intelligence, according to Daniel Goleman, the father of ‘Emotional Intelligence.’ He suggests that approximately 80% of success is attributed to emotional intelligence, making EQ more crucial than IQ.

Emotional Intelligence, simply put, is the ‘Way of Acting,’ which significantly enhances interpersonal effectiveness in the workplace.

The encouraging aspect is that unlike IQ, emotional quotient can be improved throughout life. Therefore, it becomes essential for all individuals to assess their EQ score and strive to enhance their Emotional Quotient (EQ) by adopting strategies to improve self and social competencies.
